Areas of responsibility:
- Lead the product development and negotiation process for jersey tops garments, for sportswear, RTW in menswear, and womenswear.
- Coordinate with the R&D manager on new trims for the season, entering in PLM, send out artwork to suppliers, check the samples against approved artwork and specifications, manage lab dips for each season, ensuring colour accuracy and approvals, and summarize leftover trims list.
- Collaborate with design, R&D, and suppliers to ensure high-quality, commercially successful products.
- Manage supplier relationships to guarantee timely delivery and product excellence.
- Stay updated on fashion trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements in garment production.
- Ensure data accuracy and updates in the PLM system for efficient workflow management.
Objectives:
- Develop and execute innovative and commercially viable jersey garment collections.
- Ensure high standards in design, fit, and quality through meticulous prototyping and sampling.
- Ensure New Trims are accurately developed and on time.
- Maintain seamless communication between internal teams and external partners.
- Streamline product development processes to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Enhance brand competitiveness through strategic sourcing and trend-driven innovation.
Working tasks:
- Oversee the entire product development cycle from initial concept to SMS.
- Work closely with design teams to transform creative ideas into market-ready products.
- Coordinate with R&D to select appropriate fabrics, trims, and finishes.
- Conduct fittings and sample reviews to ensure product integrity and quality standards.
- Establish and nurture relationships with global suppliers.
- Monitor industry trends and implement innovative solutions for product improvement.
- Negotiate product and material costs inline with target margins.
- Maintain up-to-date records and data management within the PLM system.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in product development for jersey garments, in either, sportswear, RTW, menswear, and womenswear and trims.
- Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, fabric properties, trims, and finishing techniques.
- Familiarity with PLM systems, preferably Centric PLM, is an advantage.
- Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and quality assurance.
- Ability to balance creativity with commercial viability in product development.
- Passion for fashion and a deep understanding of industry trends and consumer preferences.
