Sr Product Developer - Knitwear Garments
Reports to:Product Development Manager
Areas of responsibility:
- Lead the product development process for Knitwear garments for sportswear, RTW in menswear, and womenswear.
- Collaborate with design, R&D, and suppliers to ensure high-quality, commercially successful products.
- Manage supplier relationships to guarantee timely delivery and product excellence.
- Stay updated on fashion trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements in garment production.
- Ensure data accuracy and updates in the PLM system for efficient workflow management.
Objectives:
- Develop and execute innovative and commercially viable jersey garment collections.
- Ensure high standards in design, fit, and quality through meticulous prototyping and sampling.
- Maintain seamless communication between internal teams and external partners.
- Streamline product development processes to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Enhance brand competitiveness through strategic sourcing and trend-driven innovation.
Working tasks:
- Oversee the entire product development cycle from initial concept to final production.
- Work closely with design teams to transform creative ideas into market-ready products.
- Coordinate with R&D to select appropriate fabrics, trims, and finishes.
- Conduct fittings and sample reviews to ensure product integrity and quality standards.
- Establish and nurture relationships with global suppliers and manufacturers.
- Monitor industry trends and implement innovative solutions for product improvement.
- Maintain up-to-date records and data management within the PLM system.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in product development for knitwear garments, in either, sportswear, RTW, menswear, and womenswear.
- Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, fibers and yarn properties, trims, and finishing techniques.
- Familiarity with PLM systems, preferably Centric PLM, is an advantage.
- Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and quality assurance.
- Ability to balance creativity with commercial viability in product development.
- Passion for fashion and a deep understanding of industry trends and consumer preferences.
