Reports to:Product Development Manager

Areas of responsibility:

• Lead the product development process for Knitwear garments for sportswear, RTW in menswear, and womenswear.
• Collaborate with design, R&D, and suppliers to ensure high-quality, commercially successful products.
• Manage supplier relationships to guarantee timely delivery and product excellence.
• Stay updated on fashion trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements in garment production.
• Ensure data accuracy and updates in the PLM system for efficient workflow management.

Objectives:

• Develop and execute innovative and commercially viable jersey garment collections.
• Ensure high standards in design, fit, and quality through meticulous prototyping and sampling.
• Maintain seamless communication between internal teams and external partners.
• Streamline product development processes to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Enhance brand competitiveness through strategic sourcing and trend-driven innovation.

Working tasks:

• Oversee the entire product development cycle from initial concept to final production.
• Work closely with design teams to transform creative ideas into market-ready products.
• Coordinate with R&D to select appropriate fabrics, trims, and finishes.
• Conduct fittings and sample reviews to ensure product integrity and quality standards.
• Establish and nurture relationships with global suppliers and manufacturers.
• Monitor industry trends and implement innovative solutions for product improvement.
• Maintain up-to-date records and data management within the PLM system.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in product development for knitwear garments, in either, sportswear, RTW, menswear, and womenswear.
• Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, fibers and yarn properties, trims, and finishing techniques.
• Familiarity with PLM systems, preferably Centric PLM, is an advantage.
• Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate effectively.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and quality assurance.
• Ability to balance creativity with commercial viability in product development.
• Passion for fashion and a deep understanding of industry trends and consumer preferences.
