Logistics & Operations Specialist
J.LINDEBERG, a global apparel company is seeking a logistics professional to join their NYC team. Headquartered in Stockholm, with stores around the world, J.LINDEBERG is a leader in golf clothing.
Responsibilities
-Plan and follow up on inbound and outbound freight shipments together with the Global Logistics Team, including monitoring incoming deliveries and updating expected arrival dates for inbound goods
-Monitor project calendars and proactively manage deadlines, anticipate upcoming deliverables, and take appropriate action to keep product flows on track
-Monitor stock levels daily, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure accurate data in company’s inventory and warehouse management systems
-Communicate daily with 3PL including managing shipping documents, packing lists, BOL, proof of delivery, ensuring adherence to retail shipping standards
-Understanding customization within the fashion industry including DST and quality control
- Prepare and process shipment documentation, including pick tickets, bulk quantities, posting and invoicing documents, and EDI-related activities such as PO splits and UPC creation.
-Investigate lost or delayed shipments, address product damage and defectives, and implement strategic solutions in collaboration with US Sales Management team
-Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly workload forecasting with 3PL
-Work closely with wholesale sales coordinator and sales manager on upcoming projects and order management improvements
Qualifications & Skills
-Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
-2-4 years of logistics experience within the fashion industry. Golf industry is a plus.
-Excellent attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines
-Well developed written and verbal communication skills
-Experience working in ERP/business systems, preferably Business Central, is preferred; experience with order management, warehouse or EDI-related systems is a plus.
-Able to work a flexible schedule to meet needs of multiple time-zone business and seasonal demand peaks
-Ability to adapt appropriately to competing demands and shifting priorities
